With the festivities set to culminate on April 17th, the entire city is abuzz with activity, drawing in an estimated 25 lakh devoted souls to partake in the Ram Navami Mela. Anil Mishra, a trusted member of the temple trust, revealed that all VIP passes for the new Ram temple in Ayodhya will be cancelled for three days leading up to April 18th. This decision aims to ensure that every devotee can have a smooth and unhindered darshan experience during this significant time. With this in mind, the temple management has decided to do away with VIP and VVIP darshan privileges from April 15th to 18th.

Champat Rai, the general secretary of the trust, emphasized that this year’s Ram Navami holds special significance as it marks the first celebration after the consecration ceremony at the temple. To accommodate the influx of devotees, darshan timings have been extended until 11 pm, providing ample opportunity for everyone to offer their prayers. Additionally, special arrangements have been made for the offering of ‘bhog’, with curtains drawn four times for five minutes each.

In a bid to streamline the darshan process, Rai urged distinguished dignitaries to plan their visits for after April 19th. Furthermore, devotees are encouraged to arrive early on the occasion, with arrangements in place for queuing starting from 3.30 am.
To enhance the experience for devotees, the Ram Janmotsav festivities will be broadcast on approximately 100 large LED screens across the city. In order to minimize hassle and save time, visitors are kindly requested not to bring their mobile phones.

In a thoughtful gesture, a railway reservation unit will also be set up at the passenger convenience center on Darshan Marg, ensuring convenience for pilgrims traveling to Ayodhya for this sacred occasion. With these arrangements in place, the stage is set for a joyous and spiritually enriching celebration of Ram Navami in Ayodhya.
