And you are aware that you are falling at an incalculable speed. And you felt that it ended there, that you died,” he shared with El Observador.
In a statement, Air Europa acknowledged the incident and assured that the injured passengers were receiving appropriate medical care. “The plane has landed normally and the injuries of varying degrees that were recorded are already being treated,” the airline stated.
The Uruguayan Foreign Ministry confirmed that the injured passengers were being treated at Monsenhor Walfredo Gurgel Hospital in Natal. Plans were also made for their transportation back to Montevideo. For passengers who did not wish to take a bus ride back to Uruguay, Air Europa arranged a new flight from Madrid.
